A bit about me
I'm not just a qualified MTI Practitioner with a Holistic Massage Diploma and over 17 years of experience; I'm someone deeply passionate about the art and science of massage therapy. To me, being a massage therapist is more than a job; it's a calling, a vocation.
I approach my work with a warm and compassionate heart, striving for a truly holistic connection with my clients. The human body never ceases to amaze me with its complexity and resilience, and I've dedicated my career to understanding how muscles, tissues, and joints interact and respond to various massage techniques. This knowledge empowers me to address specific issues and guide my clients on their journey towards physical and mental well-being.
On a personal note, I'm not just a dedicated therapist; I'm also a mother of two wonderful boys. Through first-hand experience, I've come to deeply appreciate the importance of making time for yourself. It's all about finding that delicate balance that enables you to tend to your own needs, thereby allowing you to be the best version of yourself for your family. Self-care, in my view, is a valuable investment in your well-being and your ability to shine as a parent and an individual.
Taking steps towards understanding the dialogue between your body and mind
We can take our bodies for granted, inadvertently overlooking the importance of relaxation. The relentless demands of daily life can profoundly impact us, both consciously and unconsciously, leaving us grappling with stress, fatigue, anxiety, and sometimes even exhaustion.
In a world where stress and anxiety are escalating, more and more people are searching for non-medical alternatives. Acclaimed for its therapeutic benefits, massage can be effective across various conditions, promoting overall health and enhancing the functionality of the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems.
Massage creates a harmonious dialogue between your body and mind. As skilled hands knead away tension and stress, your body responds with relaxation, improved circulation, and reduced pain. Simultaneously, your mind unwinds, letting go of worries and anxieties, promoting a profound sense of calm. This symbiotic exchange between body and mind during a massage fosters holistic well-being.
“My passion for massage therapy is rooted in the joy of healing, my fascination with the human body, and the privilege of making a profoundly positive impact and change in my clients' lives.”

What my clients say...
I am so pleased that I’ve discovered Jade! She has really helped me with a muscle problem in my neck and shoulder and migraines.
I really look forward to my massages, they are a special treat! I always float home afterwards.
By the end of the session I felt transformed; relaxed but also calmer, more in touch with myself and attuned to my body.
It was remarkable. I couldn’t recommend Jade enough.

Jade looked after me from when I was 16 weeks pregnant to caring for me currently, post partum. I cannot speak highly enough of her. She is an incredibly skilled practitioner, who listens and cares deeply.
After every massage I have felt so relaxed. I have felt so safe and cared for in every session, which is so important if you’re expecting, or needing some TLC post birth.
Deep tissue and therapeutic massage
Deep tissue massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. It is designed to target specific areas of tension, pain, or injury. I will use slow strokes and deep pressure to reach these deeper layers of muscle and tissue.
The benefits of deep tissue massage are numerous. It can help to reduce chronic pain, increase range of motion, improve posture, and decrease muscle tension. It can also help to break up scar tissue and improve circulation.
Therapeutic massage
Therapeutic massage is a type of massage that focuses on treating specific areas of the body that are experiencing pain or discomfort. It involves the manipulation of the body's soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments, to help alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote overall relaxation. In addition to reducing pain and promoting relaxation, it can also help to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and boost the immune system. Some studies have even suggested that therapeutic massage can help to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
With regular sessions, you may find that therapeutic massage can help to improve your overall health and well-being.
Postnatal massage
With a new baby to care for and nurture it can be hard to find some precious time to yourself but keeping yourself healthy and happy is even more important now.
Postnatal care for mothers is just as important as prenatal care. Postnatal Massage can not only help you recover from the physicality of childbirth, it can also help you cope with the challenges of caring for your baby. Postnatal massage can assist in you returning and restoring your body with an aim to help improve energy levels, balance hormone levels and mood.
Over the past nine months your body has undergone a long, beautiful and intense journey, growing and carrying your baby. It now has to readjust and accustom itself to life with a newborn. Lifting and bending, feeding in awkward positions and broken sleep can all take its toll on the body, both physically and mentally.
Massage can help to target and release points of tension, aches and pain as well as assisting in realigning your body and posture back to its pre-pregnancy state. Massage aids the body to heal physically, but also provides a little time and space for you.
As a new mother your focus and energy is mainly on your baby. Taking an hour or 90 minutes out to consider and focus in on your needs both physically and mentally (or even just to sleep!) can be restorative and a much needed time out for yourself.
Consider booking a postnatal massage to support your physical and mental health during this exciting and challenging time.
“As a new mother, it's essential to prioritize your own needs and make time for self-care.”
Myofascial
release techniques
Myofascial Release is a therapeutic technique that delves deep into the intricate network of fascia, the connective tissue that envelops and supports our muscles. This gentle yet profound method aims to alleviate tension, pain, and discomfort in the body. By applying sustained pressure and stretching, myofascial release helps to release restrictions within the fascia, restoring mobility and promoting overall well-being.
One of the remarkable benefits of myofascial release is its ability to provide relief from chronic pain conditions. It is particularly effective in addressing issues like fibromyalgia, sciatica, and repetitive strain injuries. By targeting fascial adhesions and knots, this technique can reduce muscle tightness and enhance flexibility, leading to improved posture and reduced pain.
Furthermore, myofascial release promotes a deep sense of relaxation. As the therapist works on releasing tension within the fascia, it often triggers the relaxation response in the body. This not only eases physical discomfort but also has a soothing effect on the mind, reducing stress and anxiety.
“Myofascial release is a holistic approach to wellness, nurturing the body's natural ability to heal and restoring a warm sense of comfort and balance.”

Yes, absolutely you can! Gift vouchers make lovely presents. You can buy vouchers for 60 and 90 minute treatments. Vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase.
Can I receive a massage if I'm pregnant?
Yes, it's usually safe to have a massage during pregnancy. Please check with your midwife or doctor first.
Some women prefer to wait until after the first trimester, as the risk of miscarriage is higher during this period.
When can I book a post natal massage?
After a vaginal delivery, you can have a gentle massage when you're ready. For a caesarean delivery, wait until after your 6 week check with your doctor to ensure the scar is healed. Please inform me of any medical conditions.
Are there any medical conditions or situations in which I should avoid getting a massage?
Certain medical conditions such as contagious skin conditions, recent surgery, or severe medical conditions may require you to postpone or avoid a massage. Please do inform me of any health concerns before your session.
Is it normal to feel sore after a massage, and how long does this soreness typically last?
It's common to experience some soreness after a massage, especially deep tissue or intense massages. This soreness is usually mild and short-lived, lasting up to 24-48 hours. It's a sign that your muscles are responding to the therapy, and it should improve.
Do I need to undress for a massage, or can I keep some clothes on?
Most massages are performed with clients undressed to their comfort level. You will be appropriately draped with a sheet and only the area being worked on will be exposed. You can absolutely discuss your comfort level with me.
Can I talk during a massage, or should I remain silent?
The level of conversation during a massage is entirely up to you. Some people prefer to remain silent and relax, while others may want to chat or provide feedback on pressure and areas of focus. It's your time, so feel free to tell me what you need.
What should I wear to a massage appointment, and should I bring anything with me?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your massage appointment, as you'll be asked to undress to your comfort level. You don't need to bring anything specific with you. I provide all necessary equipment, oils and drapes for your appointment.
Can I eat before a massage, or should I come on an empty stomach?
It's generally best to avoid heavy meals immediately before a massage, as a full stomach can be uncomfortable when lying down. However, you don't need to be completely empty. A light meal or snack a couple of hours before your session is usually fine.
